Sigona Golf Club’s Junaid Manji held his nerve in the final round to win the 2025 NCBA Kenya Junior Strokeplay Championship at the Muthaiga Golf Club. Leading by a comfortable five shots after three rounds, Manji had only one birdie and three bogeys, playing level par in the other 14 holes. Kevin Anyien who started the day in third was consistent yet again, picking two birdies and four bogeys to match Manji’s score of two over par 73 on the day. His overall score of 19 over par 303 pushed him up to second overall and also won him the overall title in the boys 16-18 years category.

“The last two days was steady, I wasn’t taking that many risks on the course and I was just trying to play conservatively and consistently. I tried not to think about the five-shot lead because I have made that mistake in the past and it almost messed me up. So I just focused on playing my normal game and having fun I guess,” said Manji.
In third place on the day was Bianca Ngecu who moved up three places on the leader board. Bianca picked three birdies that were wiped out by seven bogeys, but she still managed an impressive score of one over par 72 on the day, the second-best score behind Aarush Vara who played level par 71. Bianca finished with an overall score of 21 over par 305 to win the overall girls’ title.

“I played well on the last three days. On the first day, I had a tough one but I came back on the last three days. I enjoyed the last round, with a lot of birdies and had fun as well with my teammates,” said Bianca.
Yuvraj Rajput who finished tied fourth with Krish Beiju was the best player in the 14-15 years category.
Justin Ngera was the winner of the boys 13 and under category.
